Kristin Diable Rockwood 1-20-15 2

If you are not content to stay home this evening and listen to Now I’ve Heard Everything on the air on WCWP or the Net here, there are two wonderful shows you can catch.  Down on the Lower East Side, over at The Rockwood Music Hall Stage 2, Kristin Diable will be playing a full band show in support of her wonderful, just released album, Create Your Own Mythology.  That album is already a favorite of mine and has been in heavy rotation around here.  Kristin’s music is a combination of rock, folk and blues all held together with an amazing voice made even more astonishing with a Louisiana drawl.  The show will start at 7pm with Anderson East opening.

David Bowie BoB crop

Off the G Train over in Brooklyn, there’s a wonderful David Bowie Tribute Night awaiting you at Beast of Bourbon.  Paying homage to the thin white duke will be the cream of the crop of local musicians including Keith Hartel, C. P. Roth, T.Y. Tuschen, Kevin Hyland, Craig Hoek, Ray Kubian, Richard Feridun, Boo Reiners, Mary Lee Kortes, Monica Passin, Nate Schweber, Jahn Xavier, Charles Roth, Courtney Lee Adams Jr., Liza Colby, Mary Knapp, Stella Rose St. Clair, Crystal, Pete Cenedella, Dave Foster and more.  Things will get started  at 9pm.

Kristin Diable (Anderson East opens), Rockwood Stage 2, 196 Allen Street between Houston and Stanton Streets (F Train to 2nd Avenue, use the 1st Avenue exit), 7pm, $10

David Bowie Tribute Night, Beast of Bourbon, 710 Myrtle Avenue between Walworth and Spencer Streets (G Train to Myrtle – Willoughby), 9pm-Midnight, No Cover (but a contribution for the musicians is highly recommended)
